HOW TO JOIN SUMMERFIELD'S FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH
If you would like to join Summerfield's First Baptist Church family, we invite you to come forward at the end of any worship service. You may join First Baptist by accepting Christ as your Lord and Savior and being baptized by immersion.
HOW TO KNOW GOD PERSONALLY
- GOD LOVES YOU AND DESIRES A RELATIONSHIP WITH YOU. John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that He gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life."
- SIN KEEPS US FROM GOD. Romans 3:23 "For all have sinned; and fall short of God's standard."
- SIN HAS A PENALTY. Romans 6:23 "The wages of sin is death." (separation from God)
- JESUS CHRIST PAID THE PENALTY. Romans 5:8 "But God showed his great love for us by seneding Christ to die for us while we were still sinners."
- FAITH IS THE KEY TO KNOWING GOD. Ephesians 2:8-9 "For by grace you have been saved through faith and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God, not by works, so that no one can boast."
PRAYER OF COMMITMENT
"Dear Jesus, I believe you are the Son of God and that you died for my sins. I ask you to forgive me and come into my life. I turn from my sins to live for you. Amen"
