Our mission is to teach children to meet Jesus, love God and serve others. Our desire is to minister to your child in a safe and loving environment. We screen our volunteers and do a criminal background check on them because we understand that you as a parent cannot worship if you feel uncomfortable about leaving your child in our care. We strive to do as much as possible to keep your children safe in a secure environment while teaching them about Jesus and His plans for their lives in a meaningful way.
This is a chance to build a Biblical foundation and foster a Christian worldview through Bible lessons, crafts, and activities. We offer age graded classes on Sunday mornings at 9:00 AM.
On Sunday’s at 10:30 AM, we utilize the curriculum Worship Kidstyle which includes music, games, videos, and a message from God’s Word to impact the lives of children.
Children’s choir, kindergarten through 5th grade, meets on Wednesdays at 6:15-6:45 PM from September – May. There are two performances a year, with one at Christmas and the other in May. At 6:45 PM we gather together until 7:30 PM for game time and additional learning from God’s Word.
Sunday Evenings – September to May
The AWANA name stands for Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed and is based on 2 Timothy 2:15. This club meets on Sundays from 5-7 P.M. It starts the first Sunday in September and goes through May. It is for children 3 years old to 5th grade. They have fun through game time (team and individual competition); learn through handbook time (achievement oriented learning segments emphasizing the importance of God’s Word for sound living); and grow through council time (quality time for group Bible study, followed by awards and recognition for individual handbook progress). These three elements of the club keep it fun and exciting. We also offer a snack time to help kids (and workers) make it through the night.
AWANA has local missionaries that we support, Allen and Marion Bailey. Their address is 955 Quakenbush Drive, Snow Camp, NC, 27349.
AWANA is now! It is never to late to come!
